POWERKad


What is a POWERKad?

POWERKad is a terms uses to recharge a Prepaid Electricity Meter for Department of Electrical Service (DES). It is either a prepaid scratch card containing 16 digits PIN or a vending service to provide the 20 digits token.
How to get the POWERKad?

You can either purchase:
1. Physical POWERKad
2. SMS Premium 8885555
3. INCOMM website www.incomm.com.bn
4. Universal of Sales (UPOS)
5. Instant Vending (BIBD, SCB, TAIB, BAIDURI)
6. Cash Deposit Machine (CDM)
I still use Postpaid Electrical Meter; can I change it to Prepaid Meter?

Yes. But we advise you to consult DES for more details.

What is the denomination available for the POWERKad?

The POWERKad is available for sell at B$6, B$10, B$20, B$30, B$50 and B$100.
How do I use the POWERKad?

1. Scratch the silver coated at the back of the POWERKad and get the 16-digit PIN.
2. Then, SMS it by typing your prepaid meter number followed by * and the 16-digit PIN to 38144 for DST Subscribers or 8160160 for Progressive Cellular Subscriber.
3. You will receive a SMS reply with the 20-digit token.
4. You can enter the 20-digit token received from the SMS into your prepaid meter and press enter. Your meter will display “ACCEPTED” showing your 20-digit token had been successfully entered, and you can see the credit top-up value has increased either in B$ amount or KWh.
What happen if my meter shows REJECT?

If REJECT, it means that you had keyed-in the 20-digit token wrongly. So, please make sure you key-in the 20-digits token correctly.
Shall they key-in the 20 digits token correctly but it is rejected, please advise the Customer to consult DES. The Prepaid Meter may have some issue which cause it reject the token.
What happen if I have entered the wrong Prepaid Meter number?

If you have entered an active Prepaid Meter number belong to other person, you will still receive the 20-digit token for the Prepaid Meter number but it will not valid to your Prepaid Meter number.
Will I get a refund if I have entered a wrong active Prepaid Meter number belongs to other person?

No. We are sorry to inform you that there is no refund for wrong meter number.
What happen if my POWERKad is lost, over-scratched or damaged?

There is no refund for any reported lost or damaged POWERKad
You still can claim your 20 digit Token for any over-scratched or damaged POWERKad providing the serial number of the POWERKad can be sighted clearly.
Is there any expiry date for the POWERKad?

Yes, please see the expiry date printed at the back of the POWERKad.
Is there any SMS charge when I send to 8998144 and 8160160?

Yes. DST will charge B$0.03/SMS for PRIMA Subscribers and B$0.05/SMS for EASI Subscribers whereas Progressive Cellular Subscribers will be charged at B$0.05/SMS for using POWERKad services.
Is there any SMS charge when I send to SMS Premium 38144?

Yes. The charges is B$0.10 and this service is only applicable for DST Subscribers.
I am a PRIMA Subscriber. Can I use SMS Premium 38144 to SMS?

Yes.
May I know another way to send my POWERKad PIN instead of using 8998144/ 38144/ 8160160?

Yes. The alternative way is by accessing the Mobile Portal www.powerkad.com/m from your mobile phone. Then key in your mobile number to receive the 20 digits Token, your Prepaid Meter number and the PIN number. You will receive a SMS with the 20 digits Token.

What is the purpose of purchasing the POWERKad 20 digits Token using 885555?

This is a simple and easy way to purchase the POWERKad 20 digits Token. You do not need any physical POWERKad nor registration require.
How does it work?

It will deduct your mobile credit based on the amount you have purchased
Is it applicable to all DST and PCSB Subscribers?

It is only applicable to DST EASI Subscribers only.
What about if I forget to top up my EASI credit?

You still can send the request to 8885555 but there will be a SMS reply informing you to top up your credit before you can receive your 20 digits Token
After I have received the 20 digits Token, what shall I do?

You can enter the 20-digit token received from the SMS into your prepaid meter and press enter. Your meter will display “ACCEPTED” showing your 20-digit token had been successfully entered, and you can see the credit top-up value has increased either in B$ amount or KWh.
Is there any extra charge when I purchase POWERKad 20 digits Token via 8885555?

Yes, there will be a charge for each POWERKad SMS. For purchase amount of B$5, you will be charged B$0.30 per SMS, B$0.40 per SMS for amount of B$6, B$0.50 per SMS for amount purchased of B$10 and B1.00 per SMS for amount purchased of B$20.

What are the platforms supported by this application?

Currently, the supported platforms are only available in Android version 7 and earlier. iOS (iPhone and iPad) will be available in near future.
Where can I provide feedback if the application does not work on my android device?

Is INCOMM Mobile App secure?

Yes, all information is encrypted and no personal information is stored on your mobile device. However, mobile devices do offer you the ability to store your login information for apps installed on the device. If you choose to store your login information, any person who has access to your mobile device can access your account.
Once customers' login, they will remain logged in. There is no setting to auto-logout upon existing the app. The only way to log-out is to manually do so by going to the top right corner icon, select setting > log out. This will log you out of the system and you will be asked to login when you make your next purchase.

Using the Incomm Mobile Application


You are required to register for a new account with your email address as Login ID and Password to allow you to make online purchases. Click on the Register button & you'll be re-directed to the registration page.

As a registered user, you are bound by the terms and conditions of the INCOMM Mobile App. Please make sure you read the T&C before creating your account.

Click on the category/brand. A range of products under the category or brand will be displayed
Choose products or services from the category or brand and click Add to Cart to purchase.
We will send you an acknowledgement email for your order when your order and your payment has been verified.
You can also view your order status by clicing on Purchase History in the mobile app.
Your purchase will be processed immediately therefore are unable to cancel an order once it has been received by Incomm.
